Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including with a screen reader, a keyboard only or high magnification.

Conformance

The website has been checked against WCAG 2.2, level AA. On 7 October 2026 every page in all three languages passed an automated check with the axe-core tool, in light and dark mode, with no violations found. We also reviewed the main pages by hand. This is our own check, not an independent audit.

What the website supports

  • Keyboard-only use, with visible focus on every interactive element.
  • A link that skips straight to the main content.
  • The language of every page is marked, so screen readers use the right pronunciation.
  • Light and dark mode, following the device setting.
  • Content reflows on narrow screens and when zoomed, without horizontal scrolling.
  • The charts on the numbers page also have a data table for screen readers.

Known limitations

  • Some photos in older news items from 2018 to 2023 have no description. They are marked as decorative and screen readers skip them.
  • Some older news items are only partly translated into the other languages.
  • The Georgian and English texts have not yet been reviewed by native speakers.

Feedback

If anything on the website is difficult to use, write to ynushev@mfa.gov.ge. Please include the page address and what does not work.
