Georgian citizens in Bulgaria
Lost or stolen passport
- Report it at the nearest police station and keep the document they give you.
- Contact the Embassy of Georgia in Sofia.
- If you need to return quickly, the Embassy can issue a travel document for return to Georgia. It is single-use, the decision is taken within 15 days and it is valid for up to one month. A new passport issued abroad takes up to 45 days.
Detention, hospital or a serious incident
Contact the Embassy of Georgia immediately. The diplomatic mission is obliged to protect your rights and legal interests, whether or not your stay is legal.
Bulgarian citizens in Georgia
Lost or stolen passport or identity card
- Within 3 days, declare the loss or theft at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Tbilisi.
- If possible, obtain a document on the loss or theft from the Georgian police.
- The Embassy issues a temporary passport for your return to Bulgaria.
