Salome Zurabishvili - the new President of Georgia

Salome Zurabishvili is the new president of Georgia. French-born Zurabishvili in the 2018 presidential election won with 59% of the vote against his opponent Grigol Vashadze, who got 40.4% of votes. Thus, 66-year-old Zurabishvili became the first female president in the country.
She thanked her constituents and said she would be president of all Georgians.
Salome Zurabishvili was born in 1952 in Paris in a family of political emigrants who left Georgia in 1921.
From March 2004 to October 2005 she was Georgia's Foreign Minister.
The new president said she would work towards Georgia's membership in NATO and the EU.
