The First Eastern Partnership Investors Forum will be held on July 10 and 11 in Batumi, Georgia. The event is part of the 16th edition of Batumi International Conference.
The main guests of this year's conference are the President of the European Council Mr. Donald Tusk a>, Ministers of the European Council, political leaders, international organizations, representatives of civil society and the media. More than 500 participants are expected to attend the conference.
The forum, co-organized by the EU Commission, the Government of Georgia and the Center for European Governance and Economy , will discuss the impact of the European Union Eastern Partnership Program a> on the investment environment of the six partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) after ten years of its implementation, the main focus will be to promote European investment in the EaP countries in the four key sectors: infrastructure, energy, production and agriculture.
The six countries together represent 75 million people and an economy of 200 billion euros. European Investment Bank and The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has portfolios of more than 1,300 projects worth € 33 billion in EaP countries.
The event will provide an opportunity for meetings with government and private sector representatives, as well as with financial institutions and investment opportunities in the priority sectors in the G2B and B2B formats organized within the forum.
