The Republic of Bulgaria declared a state of emergency from March 13 to April 13. It is possible to enter the territory only after a proper border check.

After the test, the passenger can be placed in quarantine or self-isolation.

Flights - Turkish Airlines restricts flights to Istanbul for citizens who have been to the following countries in the last 14 days: Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Republic of Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden.

They are also prohibited from entering transit through Turkey.

- Daily flights are canceled to various destinations in Europe

Land and sea - For those who have been to the following countries in the last 14 days, they are forbidden to travel from Bulgaria to Turkey: Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Republic of Korea, Netherlands , Norway, Spain, Sweden.

- Vehicles will be checked at borders and disinfected appropriately.

- The seaports operate according to the usual schedule. Ferry traffic continues to operate only for the purpose of delivering goods.

Functioning of public and private institutions - the state encourages people to work remotely, if possible.

Functioning of educational institutions - the educational process in the country has been suspended since March 16.

Restrictions / prohibitions in public places -

- Galleries, cinemas, gyms and clubs are closing. Restaurants, bars and fast food restaurants will also be closed for 2 weeks.

- The football championship is suspended until April 13.

- Night transport temporarily stops working.

- Anyone who continues to work in such circumstances (bank employees, service staff, pharmacies, shops and markets) must be provided with the necessary disinfection equipment.

- The ski resorts open on March 16: Bansko, Borovets, Pamporovo.

Penalties - A person infected with or transmitting the virus is subject to treatment or quarantine / self-isolation. In case of refusal to comply with the rules, the fine is BGN 5,000.
