Georgian Alphabet
Georgia has its own, unique alphabet, created in the 10th century.

In recent years, the Georgian state has made efforts to promote and use the official alphabet in everyday communication.

TBC Bank, a leading financial institution in Georgia, has launched the initiative #writeingeorgian, aimed at promoting the use of the Georgian alphabet in everyday communication. After the huge popularity, in 2018, the initiative was expanded in the direction of integrating the Georgian alphabet into the Windows operating system. So far, more than 100,000 sentences have been translated from English into Georgian and vice versa.

The exhibition "Particle of Paradise" will demonstrate the process of creating a new and simultaneously ancient alphabet through the prism of contemporary art and information technology.

The official opening of the exhibition will be on February 18 at 18:30 in the gallery "San Stefano".

The exhibition is organized by the Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Her Excellency Tamara Liluashvili and with the kind assistance of the Georgian community in Bulgaria, as well as the Honorary Consulate of Georgia in Bulgaria, presented by Ms. Daniela Nedelcheva.
