Attention Georgian Citizens!

According to the order of the Healthcare Ministry of the Republic of Bulgaria on August 27, the state of emergency in the country will last till November 30, 2021.

Georgia was placed in a „red zone.“ This means, Georgian citizens are not allowed to enter Bulgaria, except for the following cases:

  • Georgian citizen holds a temporary, long-term or permanent residence permit or is a part of the family, member(s) of which hold(s) Bulgarian citizenship or residence permit
  • Georgian citizen holds Bulgarian D type study visa and is enrolled in one of the Bulgarian universities
  • Georgian citizen is a medical professional and their visit to Bulgaria is linked to their profession
  • Georgian citizen has duties connected to transportation or delivery of the medical equipment and technology
  • Georgian citizen is entering Bulgaria for duties connected to agriculture and tourism (and holds relevant invitation and confirmation)
  • Georgian citizen is entering the country to get Bulgarian citizenship and holds relevant permission and a letter from Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Bulgaria
  • Georgian citizen, who holds an official written permission to enter from Healthcare Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria or their deputy

Individuals, who belong to the list of above-mentioned exceptions, will be admitted into the country with the negative PCR test and the certificate of full vaccination or document certifying that citizen had COVID together with the PCR test. Individuals, who will enter Bulgaria with negative PCR test results only, will have to self-quarantine for 10 days.

  • Georgian citizens are allowed to enter the country for transit if they can prove that they will leave Bulgaria in a short period of time and are entering it for transit purposes only. In this case, it is not necessary to show any COVID-related documentation.
